Structural Silicone Facade Systems

                                                               Structural Silicone Facade Applications

There are many kinds of structures built today. It is important to give these structures a modern look. At this point, the structural silicone facade systems stand out. Because these systems are essential to the modern look that is desired for the structures. Thanks to the structural silicone facade systems that meet the needs of the modern age, structures gain an identity.

Structural Silicone Facade Systems,  highlights all the simplicity and elegance of the glass. The aluminum profile is not visible and creates a whole view when the structural silicone facade systems are viewed from the outside.  In these facade systems, the insulating glazing is attached to the facade by means of cassette profiles.

Specially glued to these profiles, the glass gives the outer facades a very stylish look. The water tightness between the glass panels is provided by a double EPDM seal. This eliminates the need to use sealing silicone between the panels. As a result, there is no shadow formation between the glass panels.

Any glass panel selected when needed can be changed to a hidden wing. This means you can't tell which panel can be opened from the outside. All structures that are applied to the Structural silicone facade system become very high prestige. It also gives the structure an elegant facade look so turns out highly preferable.

If desired, the wing profile can be applied to the inside of the modules. This allows the installation of hidden wing mechanisms. The structural silicone facade systems, with the refinement and simplicity of the glass, add complete elegance to the structure.

The application of silicone facade coating is applied to structures with aluminum and glass. The project is prepared according to the measurements taken from the structure in which the silicone facade system is to be applied. Operations such as cutting, grooving, etc. are carried out that are suitable for this project. Then, aluminum profiles are prepared within the scope of the qualities of the structure to be hung.

After the application of aluminum profile installation, the process of merging glass and aluminum is completed. When this bonding operation is carried out, the silicone seals are applied to the appropriate standards. If desired in these facade coating systems, the hidden winged window can also be applied.

In the application of structural silicone facade application, the most significant point is the part of bonding of glass. At this level, glass is bonded with special silicone in smooth and dry space. Thanks to silicone facade applications, various types of elegant facade applications can be created. It can be easily applied by selecting the most suitable option for the structure from plenty of different colors and sizes so that buildings with a perfect look can be revealed.

What is Structural Facade Application?

The silicone facade is the most commonly known and used among different facade cladding systems today. It is used and hung for floors and columns in various architectural structures and constructions. Another known name for the silicone facade is the curtain wall. This system has no carrier feature.

STRUCTURAL SILICONE FACADE TECHNICAL FEATURES

The use of structural silicone facades is very common to give buildings a modern and stylish look today. These facade applications have some unique features. It is possible to sort them as follows:

Vertical and Horizontal Profiles are different in the system and condensate-channeled.

The visible Profile width is 54 mm.

Water removal is provided through condensate channels.

Horizontal profiles are connected with the dovetail joint system.

The system is supported by steel profiles.

From the outside, horizontally and vertically, 16 mm width-EPDM gaskets and glass to glass joints can be seen.

Glass is bonded to aluminum cassettes in accordance with DIN 51376 and ISO 8339 standards by means of structural silicone material.

The moment of Inertia of horizontal profiles is between 26 cm4 to150 cm4.

The moment of Inertia of vertical profiles is between 27cm4 to 533 cm4.

Silicone Facade Application Details

First of all, the first step of the facade cladding systems for buildings is the drawing process. Drawing is vital for this process to be done smoothly by means of CAD files.

The Structural Silicone Facade is a system where glass surfaces are clean and dense when viewed from the outside, and the carrier and mechanics are hidden at maximum levels from the outside.

The glass is bonded to the cassette profiles with a stiffened silicone, then the application is completed by mounting it to the carrier system. Heat bridge formation is minimized by EPDM seals used at junction points.

Areas of visible surfaces of floors, beams, columns, and mechanical components are concealed by the enameled glass or composite panels.

As long as the wings are not used, they are referred to as hidden wings because they are unknown from the outside. They can be incorporated into the automation system if preferred, or automatic opening and closing can be achieved by using a button-controlled motor mechanism.

Advanced life comfort is achieved by incorporating heat, light, and noise control in structures. This can be provided by means of using the right combination of glass and performance.

Since it is mostly glass surface, it remains unchanged for many years, maintenance-free except for cleaning.
